Bovien is hosted by me, Christy Hoefnagels. With a background in tourism and a love of travel, creating my own special place for guests in Amsterdam had been a dream of mine for many years.

Having travelled extensively myself, I know how much the little things matter when you’re away from home. I personally welcome my guests and am always happy to share favourite restaurants, neighbourhood spots and places you might otherwise never discover.

I live in the same building, so I’m nearby if you need me — while the apartment itself is completely private and exclusively yours.

Live like a local

Bovien is located in Amsterdam Oud-West, just steps from Vondelpark — a lively, residential neighbourhood that combines the best of local Amsterdam life with an incredibly central location.

It’s a neighbourhood made for wandering. You’ll find independent boutiques, speciality coffee bars, bakeries, neighbourhood cafés and some of Amsterdam’s best-loved restaurants, all mixed in with the beautiful streets and everyday life of the people who live here.

Vondelpark is just around the corner, perfect for a morning walk or coffee, while the Museum District, canals, Leidseplein and Jordaan are all within easy walking distance.

What makes Oud-West so special is that it feels genuinely Amsterdam. You’re close to everything you came to see, but at the end of the day you return to a real neighbourhood — and the peace and privacy of your own Amsterdam home.

Everything taken care of

Bovien is refreshed every day with light housekeeping. Beds are made, bins are emptied, fresh towels are provided and the apartment is tidied, with a more thorough cleaning every three days.

But the little extras go beyond housekeeping. I’m happy to arrange taxis for you, help with plans or reservations, and you’ll have access to my personal Amsterdam app, filled with my favourite restaurants, cafés, shops and places to discover around the city.

And because I live in the same building, I’m always nearby if you need anything — whether it’s some practical help, a last-minute recommendation or simply a friendly chat.

You’ll have free high-speed WiFi, a wireless sound system and a well-equipped kitchenette, airconditioning, as well as a washer and dryer.

All the freedom and privacy of your own Amsterdam apartment, with personal service whenever you need it.
